Security Officer - Security - Day Shift Including Holidays and Rotating Weekends

Join the Security Team at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, a 591-bed hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team focused on improving patient care.

Position Details

This is a full-time day shift position from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, including holidays and rotating weekends, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Perform all duties consistent with the hospital's commitment to compassionate healthcare.

Preferred Criteria

• One year of security experience in a healthcare or related setting.
• Valid driver's license.

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of 8 & 16 Hour Security Courses.
• NYS Security License.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 90 days of start, renewed every two years.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.

Additional Information

All roles require on-site presence; employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP does not reimburse travel expenses.

Salary Range
