In this role, the Security Officer will ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, performing duties aligned with the hospital’s commitment to compassionate healthcare.

This is a day-time shift position from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, including holidays and rotating weekends, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• One year of security experience in a hospital or related medical setting.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of 8 & 16 Hour Security Courses.
• NYS Security License.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 90 days of starting, with renewal every two years.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with staff and visitors.
• Clear handwriting and legibility.
• Basic computer literacy.
