Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer with clearance readiness to protect clients at a Saint Louis aerospace and defense site. You will monitor areas, deter incidents, and deliver customer service with integrity while following established procedures.

Minimum requirements include at least one year of security experience, an active DoD Secret clearance, and a high school diploma. Training and advancement opportunities are available within a dynamic, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer Security Clearance Computer Readiness in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $31.08 / Hour

Job Schedule

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, aircraft-adjacent areas, business operations, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
