Job Description

The purpose of this position is to support the administration of Baptist Health South Florida by providing a safe and secure environment for patient care and ensuring the smooth and orderly operation of business across all serviced entities. The security officer must be proficient in all aspects of the BHSF security training program and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. The estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.24 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED, certificate, training, or experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license.
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience in security, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Law enforcement or military experience is preferred.
  • Must complete the BHSF security training program before the end of the probationary period and participate in supplemental training as offered.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
Minimum Required Experience

Experience in security, healthcare, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
