Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a Security Officer for the night shift to protect patients, visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience using personal computer with standard MS applications.

• Protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Provide security presence and respond to incidents within the medical center.

Security Officer full-time, night shift at Providence St Vincent Medical Center

Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer, performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Oregon Private Security Armed/Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training or,
• Upon hire: Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training
• Upon hire: Private Security Temporary Work Permit PS-20
• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
• 1 year Experience using personal computer with standard Microsoft applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: College level coursework in professionally related fields such as criminal justice, social work, psychology or any social science.
• H.S. Diploma or GED
• 1 year Security/law enforcement experience such as corrections, police, reserve and military police.
• Direct patient care experience in a healthcare industry.
