Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with a DoD Secret Clearance for our Chantilly, VA site. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors in a technology, media, and telecommunications environment.

The role emphasizes secure, courteous service, adherence to site procedures, and clear communication with Allied Universal leadership.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in reports and communicate with site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
