Allied Universal is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Chantilly, VA. You will monitor premises, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors while following site policies.

The role offers a flexible schedule, a platform to claim shifts, and opportunities for training and growth within a respected national security company. A DoD Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Candidates must be at least 18 for unarmed roles (21 for armed).
• Background checks and drug screening per law will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, document observations, and complete incident reports.
• Maintain professional communication with client representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
• Maintain awareness of site activity and communicate professionally with client representatives, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
