Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer to protect clients in Janesville, WI. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and provide a visible presence.

In this full-time role, you will follow site procedures, document activity, and assist visitors and staff while delivering customer service and maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, issue and collect visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery logs in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activity as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail areas, receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, unsecured access points, and security-related concerns.
• Support loss-prevention and store operations by observing activity, reporting policy violations or suspicious behavior, and following site-specific escalation procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer in Janesville, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring entry activity, and assisting visitors and team members. You will use a computer or tablet to document security-related activities, provide clear communication, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
