Allied Universal is seeking a part‑time Security Officer Screening Coordinator in West Palm Beach, FL. You will support a government facility by screening visitors, verifying credentials, and reporting security concerns while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or a college degree.

• Guard card and state/local licensing where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out screening procedures and following site policies.
• Screen individuals and belongings using screening equipment and report concerns.
• Verify access credentials, direct visitors, and maintain orderly entry and screening.
• Respond calmly to incidents and report concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, personnel, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, identifying prohibited or unauthorized items for appropriate follow‑up.
• Verify access credentials, direct visitors to designated areas, and maintain orderly entry and screening processes.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly reporting concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, surrounding areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
