Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Facility Access in Port Saint Lucie, FL. This full-time role includes day and night shifts with a pay rate of $16.27 per hour. You will screen items, control access, and provide excellent customer service to drivers, visitors, and staff.

The position requires 6+ months in security, a guard card or license, and a HS diploma. Background checks and drug testing are part of the process, with licensing rules as applicable.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of security-related experience.

• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license required.
• Minimum 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Criminal history considerations per laws.
• Pre-employment drug screen where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Facility Access in Port Saint Lucie, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to help identify prohibited items, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen packages, freight, and/or personal items in accordance with established site procedures; identify and report prohibited, suspicious, or unauthorized items and activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate screening and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
