Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider in Boise, ID, is seeking a Security Officer - Scan Check-In. The role focuses on access control, credential verification, and visitor management at a technology, media, and telecom site.

You will ensure a welcoming, safe environment while handling security-related procedures and alerts. The position is full-time with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check to comply with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.
• Control access for deliveries, contractors, and service personnel, communicating with appropriate site contacts when additional authorization or direction is needed.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer - Scan Check-In in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
