Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for routine patrol duties in Anchorage, AK. You will monitor government facilities, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

The role is full-time with day/evening shifts. Candidates must meet minimum requirements, pass a background check and drug screen, and may need relevant licensing for certain positions.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other assigned duties.
