Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Anchorage, AK to safeguard a government location and contribute to a welcoming, safe environment. The role emphasizes visibility, professionalism, and adherence to post orders while serving visitors and staff.

As a Part Time position with day and overnight shifts, you will provide customer service, perform routine patrols, and document activity.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas; verify authorized access as directed; and maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, reporting facility concerns, and helping to deter unauthorized activity in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
