Allied Universal in Newburyport, MA is seeking a Security Officer Patrol to monitor and protect client sites at a technology-focused location. You will provide services with a strong emphasis on safety and customer care.

You will perform regular unarmed patrols, verify access, respond to incidents, and prepare detailed reports to support a secure and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/locality.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials; report access-control issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to post orders.
• Prepare clear activity, incident, and patrol reports and communicate information to leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when assigned, and report access-control issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
