Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Checkpoint Patrol in Philadelphia, PA to serve residents, visitors, and staff. You will monitor entrances, patrol property, and maintain access control while delivering friendly customer service and clear communication using tablets.

This role offers flexible daytime shifts and a pay rate of $19.28 per hour. You will join a collaborative team committed to safety and community service, with opportunities to learn our patrol tools

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while following site procedures.
• Respond to concerns and incidents in a calm, professional manner and escalate when needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of common areas, exteriors, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe visitors, deliveries, and vehicles.
• Prepare incident reports and daily activity logs accurately.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, building exteriors, parking areas, and property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
