Allied Universal® invites applicants for a part-time Enhanced Security Officer position in Merced, CA. The role provides flexible, reliable hours with fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

The position is ideal for building experience toward a full-time security career with a national leader. Pay rate is $19.00 per hour, with a fixed 6-month anchor shift and a program to claim extra shifts.

Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of store areas to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Merced, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
