Allied Universal in Bronx, NY is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Residential Patrol PT to protect residents and staff at a shelter location. You will perform routine patrols, remain highly visible to deter incidents, and respond with strong customer service.

Formación

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of the shelter location including entrances, exits, and exterior perimeter; report concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and de-escalate as directed; document actions taken.
• Monitor access points, verify IDs, guide visitors, and coordinate with site leadership.
• Complete timely written/electronic reports and patrol logs; communicate updates during shift turnover.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and exterior perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support as directed by site policy and documenting actions taken.


• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification and/or sign-in requirements, directing visitors, and communicating with site leadership as needed.


• Complete timely written and/or electronic reports, including incident reports, patrol logs, and maintenance or hazard notifications, and communicate updates during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• A guard card/license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
