Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Ridge, NY to provide reliable, flexible hours and serve as the trusted first line of defense at a residential complex. The role offers anchor shifts and Earn More with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

You will monitor entrances, assist residents and guests, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner. Prioritizes safety, customer service, and adherence to site policies.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and access activity per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Residential Complexin Ridge, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors while carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, access activity, and security‑related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
