Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Residential Command Center in New York for unarmed patrols and access control at a government-adjacent facility. You will deliver professional customer service, monitor security-sensitive areas, and respond to incidents with clear communication and decisive action.

Responsibilities include routine patrols, credential verification, and timely reporting of observations.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; request additional assistance when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, documenting observations, incidents, patrols, and communications in accordance with site procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Residential Command Center, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and report observations in a timely manner. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative values. Pay Rate: $22.56 / Hour

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM


• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM


• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM


• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM


• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
