Responsibilities

To perform security and safety patrols and operate communications equipment.

Essential Functions

• Conduct security patrols, monitor surveillance, and ensure safety of residents, staff, and visitors by frequently scanning monitors and surrounding areas.
• Perform guard tours at scheduled times, remain alert for wandering or confused residents, and report safety hazards or emergencies immediately. Record occurrences and maintenance needs before shift end.
• Respond promptly to fire alarms or emergencies, ensuring assistance is on its way.
• Handle calls for service and emergency situations, investigate, resolve issues, and document incidents. Manage traffic and parking enforcement.
• Operate the switchboard efficiently, answer calls courteously, make announcements clearly, and relay messages accurately. Contact appropriate personnel to respond to crises.
• Greet visitors and vendors, provide directions or assistance, and notify departments of visitor presence when appropriate.
