What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly. Tell us about how your keen sense of observation is one of your greatest strengths.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

What’s in it for you:

• Site Location: This is a floater position requiring travel to multiple sites across Virginia.
• Set schedule: Shift: The schedule varies based on site needs. The client prefers those who have open availability to work mornings, evenings, and overnights. Weekends and holidays are required. Will not guarantee full time hours. The ideal candidate will be flexible enough to work at multiple sites and be able to receive sponsorships for various state security licenses.
• Candidate will work in a variety of environments. Must be able to pass additional background checks. Must have the willingness to work different sites within their respective areas.
• Competitive hourly wage of $24.00 / HR (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process, including background check, drug screening, and vehicle MVR background screening. Screening processes may differ based on site travelling to
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• You have 2+ years of Security Officer experience
• Must have an active and valid driver's license
• You have an Active DCJS Guard Card
• You have strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively address customer needs and ensure satisfaction
• You are skilled in various software programs and utilizing phone systems
• You are able to walk, sit, and climb stair as required
• You have a state license if required
