Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Security/Guest Services position in Illinois. You will monitor staff and guest activity, enforce safety rules, and deliver exceptional customer service to create a fun, secure environment for all guests and team members.

The role requires 21+, a High School Diploma or GED, English proficiency, and a valid Illinois driver's license with the ability to drive a company vehicle. Stay calm in emergencies and handle stressful situations effectively.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a guest service-related field preferred.
• Must understand and speak the English language.
• Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and be able to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies or stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitors staff and guest activities to ensure compliance with policies and safety rules.
• Ensures safety and security of operations and assets.
• Provides high level customer service and fosters a fun, entertaining environment.
• Staffs various posts as assigned and coordinates with Surveillance.
• Maintains presence to ensure safety of guests, staff and assets.
• Controls guest access to vessels and non-public areas.
• Arrests and/or detains disruptive individuals as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties to monitor the activities of the staff and guests to ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and safety rules.
• Takes necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of operations.
• Exercises good judgment to ensure the safety and security of the guests, staff, and assets within the limits of standard or accepted policies and procedures.
• This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and team members.
• Staffs various posts as assigned.
• Coordinates with Surveillance on monitoring critical areas.
• Maintains visible presence and takes action to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and organizational assets.
• Monitors and controls guest access to and from the vessels or non-public areas.
• Helps to arrest and/or physically restrain a resistant individual.
• Removes and detains in a Security area unruly and disruptive individuals or persons engaged in criminal activity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a guest service-related field required.
• Must understand and speak the English language.
• This position is required to drive a company vehicle and adhere to the company MVR policy.
• Must have a valid illinois Drivers License.
• Must have the ability to remain calm in emergency or stressful situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs., occasionally. Must possess a physical fitness level to control and restrain unruly guests.
