Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Property Access for Roebuck, SC. You will guard clients in a retail mall setting, monitor areas, perform patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour. Schedule includes daytime and weekend shifts with a mix of hours. Equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations will be conducted per laws.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and retail patrons by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report security concerns and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors and respond to routine inquiries while maintaining incident and activity documentation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and retail patrons by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with directing visitors and responding to routine inquiries while maintaining accurate incident and activity documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
