Job summary

McLeod Health in Little River, SC is seeking a PRN security professional to maintain a professional image and ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role includes supervising loading dock traffic, escort duties, and monitoring camera systems.

Candidates must complete SLED firearms qualification, pass a MRMC evaluation, and meet fitness and licensing requirements. This position requires on-site work at the Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete SLED firearms qualification prior to employment.
• Must pass the MRMC Psychological Evaluation prior to employment.
• Must complete a half-mile run prior to employment.
• Must maintain annual SLED firearms certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers.
• Assist in maintaining a quiet, safe environment at the Medical Center.
• Ensure that the assigned post is secure.
• Investigate crime and traffic accidents.
• Provide assistance for patients, visitors and staff as requested.
• Supervise and maintain traffic flow at the loading dock.
• Schedule dock time for special events.
• Maintain a log of all vehicles entering and leaving the loading dock daily.
• Provide escort of Administrative staff to designated locations safely and in a timely manner.
• Monitor/review health & fitness center camera system playback.
