MercyOne Medical Center seeks a part-time Security Officer to help maintain safety and order within the hospital, respond to threats, and support staff in managing escalated patient and family situations.
You will de-escalate conflicts, assist with customer service needs as an ambassador for the clinic and hospital, and collaborate with local police and EMS as needed. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are required.

The Security Officer carries out the responsibilities of maintaining order within the hospital by monitoring and securing the premises and by responding to threats and safety concerns. Enforces all health center regulations in accordance with applicable operation guides. This position will provide support to nursing and other staff in management of escalating patient/family situations by working to de-escalate the people involved. This position will assist patients and families with customer service needs by serving as an ambassador for the clinic and hospital.
