Job summary

St. Mary's Health Care System is seeking a part-time security officer to help maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, visitors, and property at Sacred Heart Hospital.

The role requires screening individuals entering the facility and ensuring security protocols are followed. Candidates should have at least one year of security experience, with healthcare security being a plus; a Georgia driver’s license with a clean record is mandatory, plus various certifications to be obtained within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Georgia driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Minimum of three years of security, police, or military experience preferred.
• Healthcare security experience is a plus.
• Certifications in CPR, IAHA/IAHSS, Defensive Tactics, Baton and Taser required within one year.
• Annual recertification required for listed certifications.

Assist in establishing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all employees, patients, and visitors and property and screening people entering the facility of Sacred Heart Hospital

Should have a minimum of one year of security, police, or military experience.

Healthcare Security is a plus.

Must have a current State of Georgia driver's license with a good driving history.

Position Requirements:

A. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

B. Licensure/Certification:

• Current State of Georgia driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (no more than six Trinity Health unsafe driving points within a 24-month period).

• Must obtain certifications in:

• American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR)*

• International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security*

• Defensive Tactics**

• ASP Tactical Baton**

• Taser**

• *Certification required within one year of employment.

• **Annual recertification required.

C. Experience:

• Minimum of three years of security, police, or military experience preferred.

• Healthcare security experience is a plus.

D. Special Qualifications:

• Professional appearance, language, and attitude required.
