Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Petrochemical Facility in Detroit, MI to provide protective services at a chemical location. You will monitor access, respond to incidents, and conduct regular patrols to deter security threats while delivering professional customer service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or higher, valid driver's license, and background screening. Military or law enforcement experience and CPR/First Aid are preferred.

• Monitor access activity, verify credentials, and report unusual activity to site personnel.
• Document incidents and security activities accurately per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Petrochemical Facilityin Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Professional at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, perimeter areas, and operational zones, with working conditions varying throughout the location.
• Monitor access activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to appropriate site personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
