Job summary

Allied Universal in Westlake, LA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents, all while delivering strong customer service in a chemical/petrochemical setting.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license and TSA TWIC are required; background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and enforce site policies at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and incidents per site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings and perimeter to deter activity.
• Monitor access by checking credentials and documenting entries/exits.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate with site contacts and leadership.

As an unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. • Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents, patrol observations, hazards, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
