Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol - Shopping Center in Oxnard, CA. You will provide security and customer service at a retail/mall location, conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and help create a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors.

This full-time position offers a pay rate of $19.76 per hour and a night shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• 18 years of age or older for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol - Shopping Centerin Oxnard, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to situations with professionalism. Pay Rate: $19.76 / Hour

Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Thu 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communications with site management and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
