Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol Response in Seaford, DE. You will patrol and safeguard clients across industries, provide excellent customer service, and support access control while documenting observations with our technology platform.

Position is part-time with a 4:30 PM–11:00 PM schedule on Tue, Wed, and Thu. Competitive pay at $16.00/hour with potential for growth within Allied Universal’s security teams.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories where allowed by law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents calmly, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas to deter unauthorized access and disturbances.
• Document observations and patrol activities and communicate to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, receiving locations, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and disturbances.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
