Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Security Guard License (Hawaii) required at hire.
• Driver's License (from any state) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• Registered Guard with the Hawaii Board of Private Detectives and Guards; or current federal, state, or county law enforcement officer.
• Preferred: minimum one (1) year of experience in law enforcement, security, or related public safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrols building, premises and parking to detect security breaches or hazards.
• Locks/unlocks doors and controls access for authorized personnel only.
• Monitors fire alarms, security alarms, CCTV and dispatches officers.
• Responds to disasters and safety issues; maintains up-to-date emergency knowledge.
• Observes departing personnel to deter theft and detain for investigation when needed.
• Reports incidents to Security Ops Center and assists law enforcement.
