Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Operations in China, MI to protect clients across utilities and related sites. You will perform routine and random unarmed patrols, maintain visibility, report observations clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service to site personnel and visitors.

This full-time role offers a daytime schedule and an hourly pay rate of $16.40. You will support site operations with a professional approach and adhere to security procedures and escalation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and access points.
• Monitor access and verify visitor/contractor authorization.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports and communicate relevant security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
