Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Driver in China, MI. You will perform unarmed patrols, deter incidents, monitor access, and provide professional customer service while driving between facilities.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends, and a background check. 18+ for unarmed positions; 21+ for armed roles. Training and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling as part of a branch flex position.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, equipment areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site policies.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as part of a branch flex position.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling as part of a branch flex position.
