Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site procedures and access protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and support visitor/vehicle screening as needed.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation related to security activities.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in China, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring, innovative team that puts people first.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.91 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 06:30 AM - 05:30 PM Wed 06:30 AM - 05:30 PM Fri 06:30 AM - 05:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and support visitor and vehicle screening procedures in accordance with site policies and operational needs.
• Complete routine reports, logs, and/or incident documentation related to security-related activities, maintenance concerns, and policy violations observed during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
