Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Panel Operations to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, respond to alarms, and support a welcoming customer experience while upholding our values.

The role includes shift scheduling from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun, with full-time status and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, surrounding storefront areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious conditions, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location-specific procedures.

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $25.00 / Hour
