Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in China, MI to provide dependable security coverage with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts. As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in China, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facility buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor and activity records.
• Report maintenance concerns, unauthorized activity, and other security‑related observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be available for last‑minute shift scheduling.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
