Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials, and document visitor/vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate contacts.
• Complete reports and communicate observations to leadership and site management.

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Security Officer supporting an automotive location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor assigned areas, control access, and help to deter security-related incidents. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and visible support. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
• Complete accurate reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
