Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Response Driver) in Normal, IL. You will patrol, deter security incidents, and support access control at an automotive location.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations following emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, parking, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor and vehicle activity per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and maintenance concerns to leadership and site representatives.

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Response Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while contributing to an agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven team.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
