Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Loss Prevention Patrol in Normal, IL to safeguard clients across industries at an automotive location. You will conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

This is a full-time, unarmed security role with a driving component and a $19.00 per hour pay rate. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, patrolling premises, monitoring access, and preparing clear incident

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, production‑adjacent spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security‑related activities.

This primarily driving role requires a valid driver’s license.
