Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Gloucester, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers opportunities to use communication and technology skills while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $24.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access control points, alarm systems, cameras, and other site systems; report irregularities and follow established escalation procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in accordance with site requirements.
• Assist with visitor management, badge verification, and enforcement of site access protocols while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
