Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Framingham, MA. You will monitor healthcare sites, perform regular patrols, manage access points, and deliver professional customer service to employees, patients, and visitors.

The role offers a weekend schedule (Sat/Sun 3:00 PM–11:00 PM) and opportunities for growth through Smart Tools and training programs. A valid driver’s license and security experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials where assigned and report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and follow post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations and security-related concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, verify credentials where assigned, and report access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
