Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Fairmont, WV. You will monitor and patrol utilities locations, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while driving a vehicle.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen where permitted.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in line with federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal may consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• As a condition of employment, a drug screening may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, equipment areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and document visitor activity.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents and patrols.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, outages, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, equipment areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
