Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Sparks, NV to monitor and protect a technology data center. The role emphasizes access control, visible presence, and strong customer service to deter incidents and ensure safety.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, patrolling areas, and documenting activity. Local requirements may include background checks and a possible drug screen. This is a full-time, on-site position with hourly pay.

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $25.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, access points, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity; verify credentials and maintain accurate logs in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Communicate observed conditions, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
