Job summary

As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in SALINAS, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a fast-paced food and beverage location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations through teamwork while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative approach and acting with integrity in a people-first culture.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.90 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production, warehouse, parking, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify entry permissions for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities in required reports, and report maintenance, access control, and/or operational concerns to appropriate site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
