Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Panel Driver in Benton Harbor, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points and alarm activity, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Observe and report hazards, equipment concerns, and unusual activity to site management and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
