Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Access Coordination in Jonestown, PA. You will monitor access points, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible security presence at a logistics/distribution site, helping deter incidents.

The full-time, unarmed role requires badge experience and strong customer service, with a tablet/computer-based workflow. Shifts run Mon–Fri from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with the potential for additional coverage as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.

• Monitor access points and verify authorized personnel, visitors, drivers, and deliveries.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Coordination in Jonestown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers while supporting access control procedures and using computer or tablet systems as needed. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Experience in managing access control systems and issuing badges is essential for maintaining security protocols within our organization.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using computers or tablets is crucial, as our operations rely heavily on technology for efficient workflow and communication.
• Customer Service Experience (B219): A strong background in customer service is vital, as we prioritize providing exceptional support to our clients and stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized personnel, visitors, drivers, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities through required reports and communication tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
