Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in West Jefferson, NC. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide customer service to employees and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial site.

This full-time role requires attentiveness, clear communication, and reliable documentation using tablets or computers. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), background check, and drug screening where allowed.

• Observe and report unusual conditions or hazards to leadership.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, and security-related hazards to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
