Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols in buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, lobbies, and restricted areas, verify entry, and report concerns.
• Support a professional healthcare environment by assisting with inquiries and reporting hazards.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with staff and first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, remaining aware of unusual activity and/or conditions that could require follow-up.
• Help to monitor access points, lobbies, and restricted areas, verifying authorized entry and reporting unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and/or policy concerns.
• Support a professional environment within a healthcare location by offering directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid's driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
