Job summary

PalAmerican Security is seeking a Patrol Officer in Ohio to serve as a visible security representative for our clients. You will conduct patrols, observe activity, document incidents, and report findings with accuracy and professionalism.

You will be responsible for secure access control, building entrances/exits checks, and responding to alarms. The role requires clear English communication, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in security, customer service or similar field.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
• Minimum age of 21.
• High school Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Submit formal reports of each patrol performed.
• Practice safe driving skills both on and off duty.
• Maintain a highly visible presence observing and reporting unusual activity.
• Conduct security checks and inspect building entrances and exits.
• Patrol, inspect, and secure access areas into client’s premises.
• Lock and unlock areas according to schedule.
• Conduct site safety and security inspections.
• Document observations, activities, and actions completed.
• Adapt and innovate for maximum efficiency.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Valid Driver License and clean driving record
• Effective communication in English, verbally and in writing
• Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience is a plus
• Able to pass drug screen and criminal background check
• Valid Drivers License with ability to pass MVR check
• Minimum age of 21
• High school Diploma or GED required
• Two years of experience in security, customer service or similar field

Physical Requirements:

• Able to walk, run, and climb stairs
• Tolerate exposure to outside elements for extended shifts
• Sufficient hearing to respond to verbal speech and alarms
• Able to stand, walk, and/or drive for up to 90% of a 12-hour shift
