Job summary

Allied Universal, the leading security and facility services company in North America, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in Jeanerette, LA. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver professional customer service while deter­ring incidents at a chemical/petrochemical site.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, documenting logs, and ensuring compliance with site policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report hazardous conditions or equipment concerns to site personnel and supervision.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, production‑adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
• Observe and report hazardous conditions, unusual activity, and equipment concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
